Senior Engineer Jobs in Annapolis, MD
A Senior Engineer in the manufacturing engineering industry is responsible for the design, development, testing, and evaluation of integrated systems for managing industrial production processes. This includes human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Their duties may also involve improving manufacturing processes and advancing product design, often utilizing innovative technology. Essential skills for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer include excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, leadership abilities, and project management experience. Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools is also necessary. They should have a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, and a Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is often preferred. Prior roles that lead to a Senior Engineer position might include Junior Engineer, Process Engineer, or Project Engineer.
