The Laser Sinter Technician assembles Laser Sinter parts following drawings and work instructions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position includes the following essential functions but is not limited to them. Additional duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare Sinter Stations
    • Clean process chamber, door, laser window, IR sensors, roller, etc.
    • Monitor and calibrate laser power
    • Measure IR sensor sensitivity
    • Validate N2 and coolant flow
    • Weigh, sift, vibrate, and load plastic powder
    • Understand basic Sinter Station control operations
  • Perform rough and final break-out of completed builds
    • Document cake conditions including color, firmness, and anomalies
    • Perform glass bead blasting operations
    • Sort and file tensile coupons
    • Perform sanding as required
  • Basic Sinter Station and chiller maintenance
    • Perform required monthly checks
    • Perform minor Sinter Station repairs
    • Change seals and filters
    • Calibrate laser power
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Requires communication skills both written and orally in the English language
  • Requires excellent safety practices, which includes keeping a clean work area Interpersonal skills are essential and vital to maintain an organized warehouse
  • Requires personal responsibility and accountability meeting workmanship standards with little supervision to complete assignments
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMB
  • Additional training and/or education may be required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee will be required:

  • Standing: working with machinery for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement
  • Ability to operate a fork-lift and overhead crane
  • Lifting no more than 50 pounds alone and assisting in team lifts of more than 50 pounds
  • Each employee is to fulfill the work schedule, work hours, and productivity expectations of their supervisor and RMB which may require overtime and weekends
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
