Job Summary:
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating and managing detailed design documentation for the organization. This includes 3D modeling, 2D drafting, BOM management, and collaborating with engineering, production, and purchasing to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Design equipment based on specifications, proposals, and internal standards.
Maintain design libraries and prepare setup sheets to guide production.
Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with revisions.
Support manufacturing by resolving design issues and applying DFM principles.
Collaborate cross-functionally and provide technical support across departments.
Participate in design reviews and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
6+ years in mechanical design, preferably in equipment manufacturing.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of DFM, GD&T, and sheet metal design.
Hourly Range: $37hr-$41hr
