Company: Q4 Designs (Global Brands: Spyder, Reebok, Private Label)Employment Type: Full-Time Salary : 90K/year Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Designer to support the development and production of outerwear and apparel across multiple global brands. This role will work closely with design, product development, and overseas vendors to ensure accurate fit, construction, and quality from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain specs, construction details, and grading Manage fit process from proto through PP samples, including leading fittings and providing clear feedback to vendors Ensure garment fit, measurement accuracy, and construction standards meet brand expectations Review and approve samples (proto, fit, SMS, PP) with detailed comments and corrections Collaborate with design and product teams to execute design intent while maintaining manufacturability Communicate directly with overseas factories and vendors on technical details, corrections, and approvals Track and maintain WIP status for all styles to meet development calendar deadlines Identify and resolve fit, construction, and quality issues proactively Maintain accurate records in PLM system (specs, comments, approvals, revisions) Support fabric and trim approvals as needed in collaboration with development team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field 3-6+ years of experience in technical design, preferably in outerwear or performance apparel Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and pattern making Experience with outerwear (down, softshell, seam sealing, insulation) preferred Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems Strong understanding of measurement standards and fit consistency Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and overseas vendors Key Skills Technical expertise in fit and construction Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to interpret design intent into production-ready garments Organized and process-driven Team-oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration Preferred Experience Experience working with major retailers (Costco, Walmart, etc.) Knowledge of performance fabrics and functional garment construction Experience in high-volume production environments
