You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr. for Ocala Operation's Through Hole Technology (THT) department. At Lockheed Martin, you can build a career out of making things happen! Ocala specializes in both low volume -high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

What You Will Be Doing:
As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr. you will be responsible for developing and executing manufacturing processes that drive quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement Manufacturing Processes Plans for circuit card assemblies, from prototype through high volume production.
Design tooling, fixtures, and support equipment using CAD software tools.
Provide technical guidance to operators and troubleshoot assembly performance.
Apply lean principles to reduce cost and increase yields.
Investigate root causes of failures and drive corrective actions.

This position is in Ocala. Discover more about our Ocala, Florida location.- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college, or related military experience in addition to previously listed degree options.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- Through Hole Technology (THT) manufacturing experience.-Experience configuring, programming, and supporting selective solder equipment, wave solder equipment, AOI/X ray systems, or other automated equipment.
-Experience developing, running, and interpreting thermal profiles.
- Full knowledge of industry standards and practices, including IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-7530B.
- Ability to manage and coordinate priorities across 20+ customers.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for several manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication, writing, and verbal skills
- Recognized as an effective mentor or trainer of new engineers.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill preferred)
- Ability to use CAD software (Creo preferred)
