Electro-Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Connecticut

An Electro-Mechanical Engineer in the manufacturing engineering industry designs, develops, and oversees the production of goods ranging from electrical systems and machinery, to appliances and medical equipment. They play a vital role in ensuring the seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems within a product to ensure optimal performance. Important skills for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer include strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, as well as proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical design. In order to work in this field, an Electro-Mechanical Engineer must typically have a Bachelor's degree in electro-mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Prior to becoming an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, potential job roles may include a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer or an Automation Engineer. Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) can also be beneficial for career advancement in this field.
