Position Overview

The Project Manager / Project Engineer plays a vital role in overseeing engineering projects from start to finish. This individual will coordinate with customers and internal teamsincluding production, tooling, and qualityto ensure successful project execution.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure customer requirements are met across communication, project management, tool design, manufacturing, quality, and delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Support quality assurance activities and uphold ISO 13485-2016 standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding project updates, delivery timelines, and qualification needs.
  • Review mold and tool designs to optimize manufacturing outcomes.
  • Oversee the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and gages.
  • Ensure timely completion of mold construction projects.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering programs that enhance operational efficiency.
Core Duties

Major Duties:

  • Manage customer tooling and product projects from concept to production.
  • Lead customer meetings to review project status and mold designs.
  • Prepare quote documentation and conduct Design for Molding (DFM) assessments.
  • Coordinate qualification projects with the QA team.
  • Maintain strong communication across departments.
  • Assist with equipment selection and facility upgrades.
  • Provide cost and feasibility input for new mold construction.

Minor Duties:

  • Support Molding Technicians with supply and component procurement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across molding, tooling, and other manufacturing operations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
  • Experience in precision injection molding, especially for medical devices, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
  • 5+ years of project management experience preferred.
  • Engineering degree required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
