Mechanical Design Engineer

Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing client that is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their team. This position will focus on designing custom equipment and assemblies.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Design Engineers to develop innovative assemblies and new design concepts.
Utilize Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD 2D to create detailed mechanical parts, assemblies, and associated drawings based on sketches, blues, and other design inputs.
Generate accurate assembly and part detail drawings, ensuring all designs are fully documented.
Prepare and maintain essential documentation such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), including the assignment of unique part and assembly numbers.
Identify and select reliable suppliers for mechanicalponents such as bearings, fasteners, fittings, sensors, and valves.
Source and incorporate processponents, including vision systems, ers, lasers, and drying systems, into designs.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical manuals and other documentation.
Participate in and occasionally lead technical design reviews, meetings, and conference calls to ensure alignment on project goals and specifications.
Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or aparablebination of education and relevant experience.
5+ years of experience designing custom equipment
Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools, with experience in AutoCAD 2D.
Strong familiarity with the design and application of mechanicalponents and systems.
