Mechanical Design Engineer

Kelly Engineering has an outstanding direct hire opportunity for a Design Engineer with an industry leader based in Lakewood, NJ. This position offers a competitive salary up to $115K plus bonus along with growth potential within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

The responsibilities of the Design Engineer include overseeing the research and design of new products, conceptualizing, and designing new products, testing product designs, ensuring all process and procedures requirements are met, and drafting the specifications for the manufacturing of new products within the stages of the product development lifecycle.

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with new product stakeholders, performing market research to understand market requirements for new product development.
  
• Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software to design prototypes.
  
• Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing, engineering, quality, regulatory teams for production, inspection, documentation purposes.
  
• Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement, assess process and documentation to meet requirements.
  
• Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems.

Design Engineer Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in product design/development
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control
  
• BS Degree in Engineering or related field
  
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software
