Principal Engineer

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join their esteemed team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge drug delivery systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and influence the creation of pioneering medical technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead teams in developing innovative drug delivery devices, including needle protection systems, fluid transfer devices, and pen injectors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed engineering specifications and support device design, verification, and validation.
Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely completion and regulatory compliance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Work closely with marketing, operations, and development teams to integrate product requirements.
Review and develop architecture documents, design documents, and other product development materials.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the medical device industry.
10+ years of experience in engineering processes and leading projects through regulatory approval processes.
Strong background in electro-mechanical medical device engineering and commercialization.
Proficient in material and test specification generation, process development, and design verification.
Experience with DOE/SPC process optimization and validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), as well as FMEA.
Experience with product design and development for FDA and CE Mark submissions.
Familiarity with quality system regulations, risk management, and medical device standards.
