Title: Seal Design Engineer (Wellhead/Oil & Gas/Subsea) - Hybrid

Description:

New product engineering support

High pressure metal annulus seal and wellhead/tree equipment subject matter expert

Wellhead elastomer seal analysis and design subject matter expert

Tasks and Deliverables:

Read and understand client and customer specifications related to product engineering

Perform finite element analysis on assemblies with seal elements

Specify materials and geometries for metal annulus seals and associated features

Write and review qualification test procedures.

Support qualification tests within the client area.

Support troubleshooting of manufacturing and test issues and recommend solutions

Provide expertise and guidance on wellhead seals to less experienced client employees.

Success Measurements:

Successful PR2F and customer qualification test of new wellhead system seal

Completion of all design verification and validation documents for the new seal

Experience and Skills:

Degreed Engineer

15+ years Oil & Gas industry experience, including experience with API 6A and/or API 17D

Widely recognized subject matter expertise with finite element analysis and wellhead seals (Ansys)

Demonstrable prior experience developing new metal seals for wellhead annulus applications

Understanding of vendor capabilities for metal and elastomeric seals.

Proficient in ANSYS

Proficient in typical Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, Excel

Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and sourcing personnel

Ability to follow process map and procedures.

Ability to handle multiple priorities at once

Education Qualifications:

BS in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering

Industry Background or Experience:

Chemical/Manufacturing/Refining
