Description APPLE INC has the following available in Los Angeles, California. Negotiate and collaborate cross functionally with various departments, such as Industrial Design, Product Integrity, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, and Technology groups to refine and execute the vision for the product. Develop deep technical knowledge in areas outside his realm of expertise to recognize other teams design constraints and craft creative solutions to technical problems. Collaborate with outside vendors and internal manufacturing experts to optimize designs for function, aesthetic, and manufacturability. Utilize 2D and 3D CAD to communicate design intent and inspection requirements. Insure fit, form, and function throughout the life of the product through stress and tolerance analysis, Design Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (DFMEA), prototyping, testing, and failure analysis. Design small mechanisms including switches, connectors, cables, keyboards. Design and analyze custom stamped springs. Develop electrical integration using knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing. Analyze connector geometry for high-speed data, including EMI, ESD and Signal Integrity. International Travel Required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400- $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
