Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer with manufacturing background for a Direct hire job with a client in Columbus, OH. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures, ensuring reliable, high-quality manufacturing data systems; candidates must have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and strong SQL and AWS big data skills.

Salary Range: $110K/year to $120K/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer with manufacturing background job responsibilities include:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support manufacturing analytics and automation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, R D, IT) to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

Ensure data integrity and quality by extracting, cleaning, and integrating data from multiple manufacturing systems and sensors.

Implement and manage Industry 4.0/IoT applications for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and performance monitoring.

Develop dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to provide actionable insights into manufacturing operations.

Support and optimize cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and big data tools for efficient data storage and access.

Troubleshoot data system issues, automate manual processes, and continuously improve data delivery and infrastructure scalability.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

5 to 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proven expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures using SQL and AWS big data technologies.

Strong hands-on experience with manufacturing data systems, including SCADA/MES, and familiarity with Industry 4.0/IoT applications.
