Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring Facilities Engineer role. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of facility systems, managing small to medium-sized capital projects, ensuring efficient operation of critical utilities, adhering to safety regulations and standards, preparing and maintaining documentation and SOPs, coordinating with contractors, developing preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshooting facility system and equipment issues. Conduct and/or assists in repairs (corrective maintenance) and preventive maintenance of process equipment, building support and laboratory systems to ensure that plant and facility equipment operate efficiently to minimize production interruptions and unscheduled downtime. Implement and maintain calibration and preventive maintenance system. Ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with industry regulations, especially in the context of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This is a full-time role position: Monday Friday, Days. Onsite

The Role

  • Assemble/troubleshoot operations process equipment (feeding, micronizing, milling, isolation). Assist and support facilities equipment qualification and validation projects
  • Monitor BAS systems for continuous operation of HVAC systems. Provide technical support for processing client compounds. Maintain and control inventory management system for parts and supplies. Support operations process equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate and review maintenance service contracts. Conduct and/or assists in repairs (corrective maintenance) and preventive maintenance of process equipment, building support and laboratory systems to ensure that plant and facility equipment operate efficiently to minimize production interruptions and unscheduled downtime
  • Under the direction of the facilities manager, spearhead the implementation and maintain the Blue Mountain RAM calibration and preventive maintenance system
  • Prepare reports and keep accurate records on calibration inspection, testing, and repairs. Documents and populates calibration/maintenance information
  • Manage contractors and overseeing their work within the facility when required. Interpret appropriate diagrams and panel drawings for process/system equipment
  • Coordinate projects with other departments, contractors, vendors, and consultants. Support facilities department in cycle time reduction and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a facility/equipment records system for regulatory compliance and equipment reliability analysis. Provide support to the Facility Manager in maintaining the facility
  • Support facilities department in critical and clear writing (Deviations, Change action, Investigation, and complaints). Root cause analysis
  • Participate in rotations for after-hours facility and manufacturing support, sometimes outside of standard shift hours or upon short notice.
  • All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

  • Required a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, preferably mechanical with minimum of two years mechanical experience in regulated GMP environment
  • Experience in troubleshooting, calibration, repair and testing of HVAC, laboratory and utilities equipment required
  • Experience generating, investigating, and closing deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls in a GMP or regulated environment is a nice to have
  • Previous experience with Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager System is a nice to have
  • Prior micronization experience a plus.
  • Wear a respirator and pass the required respiratory medical clearance.
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
