Application Engineer I role focused on product application support, custom design solutions, engineering change orders, bill of materials support, and technical drawing preparation. Job Requirements Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field

3-5 years of related engineering, drafting, design, or application support experience

2+ years of design or drafting experience may be considered

SolidWorks proficiency

AutoCAD 2018 or newer proficiency

Experience with DraftSight or similar drafting software

Experience working with engineering change orders

Experience working with bills of materials

Experience reviewing customer product questions and technical requirements from Sales

Experience preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics

Experience supporting product design, system application, or customized solution development

Ability to interpret regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, and NFPA

Preferred Skills Mechanical engineering background

Experience with mobile electrification systems for industrial or commercial use

Experience developing design proposals

Experience verifying customized solutions against product requirements

Experience supporting corrective action initiatives

Experience providing engineering support to manufacturing operations

Experience supporting commissioning activities

Experience collaborating with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams on design reviews

Job Responsibilities Support product platforms and engineering teams with sales and system application requests

Review design specifications with Sales and customers

Compare customer product requirements against product capabilities

Provide product design guidance for customer-specific applications

Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DraftSight

Analyze product specifications and performance requirements

Develop manufacturable designs for customized solutions

Support engineering change orders and bill of materials updates

Support corrective action initiatives related to product design or application issues

Prepare design proposals and technical documentation for customized solutions

Verify proposed solutions against customer, product, and manufacturing requirements

Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality on design reviews and technical solutions

Provide engineering support to the manufacturing shop floor

Assist with commissioning activities as needed

Interpret applicable UL, NEC, and NFPA requirements during product application and design support
