WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Evaluates, creates and improves manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve current manufacturing processes, including equipment, documentation, training, gages and tooling/fixtures, to optimize quality, productivity and cost performance.

  • Build and lead manufacturing plans that align with demand.

  • Interface regularly with the manager and manufacturing engineers to assure clear and concise communication in a leadership role.

  • Lead the design for manufacturability process, prepares process FMEAs, root cause analyses, plans facility, equipment, and resource changes and initial product builds, and ensure that Manufacturing deliverables to project plans are completed and on time.

  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Conduct cost analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.

  • Identify and select Manufacturing Capital Equipment.

  • Preparation of financial analysis for capital expenditures for tooling and equipment needed in support of existing product lines or processes.

  • Evaluate opportunities for process automation applicable to plant.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronic engineering or related field.

  • 6+ years of validated experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.

  • Must have previous experience up to 4+ years specializing in metal mechanical processes.

  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies such as CAD/CAM, CNC, PLC, robotics, automation, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

  • Knowledge in different welding process (Mig; Tig; mechanical welding etc.)

  • Knowledge of leak test Helium; Vacuum or Hydro test experience.

  • Experience introducing Cobots or Robots into manufacturing process.

  • Experience in leading manufacturing projects as a NPI and capital expenditures.

  • Ability to manage and plan budgets, set achievable goals, and maintain open communication with other departments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to act as a representative of the engineering group. Capacity to work with interdisciplinary teams and lead authoritatively.

  • Expertise in process optimization, root cause analysis and quality control.

  • Knowledge of industrial engineering for line balancing, ergonomics and workstation design.
