As part of the global controls team, you will work with highly motived experts and innovors in the da center industry. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining the building management system (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS). Using Amazon leadership principles, you will develop new processes and standards while innoving in the controls space.

AWS Da centers have multiple components such as generors, uninterruptable power sources, diesel generors, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automic/stic transfer switches, chillers [air-cooled and wer-cooled], pumps, cooling towers, he exchangers, CRAHs, air economizers, etc. All these components have local control systems th interact with each other via open and/or proprietary communicions protocols. The BMS is the primary method of control of all mechanical systems within a da center. The EPMS is the primary method of monitoring all electrical systems within a da center.

Key job responsibilities
As a Da Center Controls Engineer you will:

Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Action for BMS and EPMS reled issues in AWS da centers.
Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with the creion, design, configurion, validion, installion, commissioning and operion of BMS and EPMS systems.
Provide technical assistance and support to operions during life cycle of the da center.
Review results and action items from the quarterly maintenances for BMS and EPMS and take actions to get them resolved.
Develop BMS & EPMS projects scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts (LOE) to projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in AWS da centers.
Assist in procurement reled activities including request for quotion/proposals, responding to request for informion, review of vendors proposal and issuance of purchase orders.
Participe in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immedie BMS and EPMS technical support to in-service da centers.
Attend project reled meetings, coordine with project leaders and regularly report stus to Controls and stakeholders management.
Support Controls projects reled commissioning activities in the da centers.
Review, implement, troubleshoot and itere on the controls sequence of operion (SOO) and provide necessary feedback to the design team.
Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements and navige challenging situions.
Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
Frequently visit (locally) assigned in-operion da centers to troubleshoot, meet customers, supervise vendors work to ensure compliance with the scope, design, SOO and applicable local codes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a reled field
- Experience carrying new design concepts through explorion, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Opering Systems
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of project management in da centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of critical da center equipment
- Knowledge of engineering documention, electrical diagrams and standard opering procedures
- Knowledge of building codes and regulions including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
- Experience in project management in da centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Experience in Da Center Engineering Operions, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical da center infrastructure
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specificions and drawings for all domains

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compension will be determined based on factors including experience, qualificions, and locion.
