Duration of Project: 6 to 12 months
Location/Address: In or near Pleasonton, CA. Candidate will be mainly remote, but will be required to be onsite regularly for collaboration sessions.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead global enterprise deployments of Zscaler and guide organizations through complex migrations from Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN. In this strategic role, you will architect and oversee large-scale cloud security implementations while ensuring seamless transitions from legacy VPN infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and deployment of Zscaler solutions across global enterprise environments
Architect migration strategies from Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN to modern cloud security platforms
Oversee implementation timelines, technical resources, and stakeholder coordination across multiple regions
Provide technical leadership and best practices guidance to deployment teams
Ensure security, performance, and compliance standards are met throughout migration projects
Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards for enterprise deployments
Required Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience deploying Zscaler at enterprise scale
Deep expertise in Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN architecture and migration methodologies
Proven track record leading global infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of cloud security, zero-trust architecture, and network modernization
Experience managing complex technical transitions with minimal business disruption
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
