Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. d/b/a Spirit AeroSystems Dallas, seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer III, in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities: Authoring and developing Stress Substantiation Reports for new Aircraft Repair Designs and Repair Parts on a variety of Aircraft Nacelles and Flight Surfaces; Assess Airline Aircraft Structural Damage Reports and identify and develop Repair Design Methodology to develop complex conceptual and detailed design specifications by analyzing product Damage and repair conditions as stated within a Detailed Damage Survey report; utilizing Spirit maintenance experience of the Aircraft products to investigate design factors such as function, materials, and performance, interchangeability, weight and stress & strength requirements. Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in job offered or related structural analysis or aerospace engineering role. Must be certified in 14 CFR Part 145 - Repair Stations and 14 CFR Part 43 - Maintenance Data (or equivalent)Experience to include the following: 36 months of experience working in an EASA Part 21J or FAA 145/21 Design Organization, with demonstrated capability in structural repairs and substantiation. Experience with structural analysis methods including static analysis, fatigue analysis, and damage tolerance. Authoring and/or approving structural repair designs for nacelle components (e.g., Nose Cowl, Fan Cowl Door, Thrust Reverser) on platforms such as V2500, RB211, CRJ700/900, BR710. Working with engineering tools such as Patran, LAP, and Hyperworks for structural modeling and analysis. Working knowledge of FAA Part 145, Part 43, and/or CAA/EASA regulatory frameworks.
