Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Production Support / SRE (Systems Operations Engineer 4 - Contingent) to join their team. As a Production Support / SRE (Systems Operations Engineer 4 - Contingent), you will be part of the Systems Operations team supporting critical banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Provide hands-on production support and reliability engineering for Pega Smart Investigate and PFIX environments.
  • Ensure high availability and stability of production systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and operational readiness activities.
  • Lead and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem reviews to improve system reliability.
  • Design, implement, and enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance metrics to improve early detection of issues.
  • Identify manual operational tasks and develop automation solutions to reduce toil and enhance system resilience.

What's Needed?

  • Experience supporting Pega platforms in a production environment, acting as a subject matter expert for platform reliability.
  • Background in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or platform operations roles.
  • Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in automation or scripting languages such as Python and/or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
