Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
- Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Security, Networking, Migrations, or SAP.
- Experience driving the entire sales cycle.
- Experience building long-term technical strategies to uncover new workloads with customers.
- Experience in defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution.
- Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective, existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions, optimizing for results when in production and identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the technical account plan and strategy by participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
- Leverage combined expertise in sales, programming, and solutions architecture to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud Platform through complex demos, pilots and in-depth workshops.
- Design cross-pillar solutions, secure technical wins, define initial delivery plans for customers, and lead technical engagement throughout the solution phase.
- Support the post-sales transition by managing pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
- Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
