Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals for automation, mechanization, process improvements, and specialized tooling
- Conduct studies on manufacturing methods, cycle times, and cost estimates for new or complex projects
- Evaluate new machines and equipment for production capabilities and provide recommendations for investment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to improve manufacturability
- Review engineering drawings and support design improvements related to production processes
- Assist in training and guiding team members on manufacturing methods and standards
- Maintain documentation including process specifications, test reports, and project summaries
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in project management within a manufacturing environment
- CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred
- Knowledge of machining, mechanical systems, press fits, tolerances, and general manufacturing processes
