Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in bridging product development and full-scale production. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring processes are cost-effective, efficient, reliable, and aligned with quality standards. The role works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges and optimize machining and assembly operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop proposals for automation, mechanization, process improvements, and specialized tooling
• Conduct studies on manufacturing methods, cycle times, and cost estimates for new or complex projects
• Evaluate new machines and equipment for production capabilities and provide recommendations for investment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to improve manufacturability
• Review engineering drawings and support design improvements related to production processes
• Assist in training and guiding team members on manufacturing methods and standards
• Maintain documentation including process specifications, test reports, and project summaries

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in project management within a manufacturing environment
• CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred
• Knowledge of machining, mechanical systems, press fits, tolerances, and general manufacturing processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Westbrook, CT.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
