The Liaison Engineer is responsible for dispositioning non-conformances, developing repairs and coordinating their implementation within the aircraft manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide world class service and act as on-site engineering support for extended maintenance and modification programs involving DHC’s products. This includes supporting the development of technical solutions, development of engineering data, and acting as a principle point of contact for the customer, modification and maintenance service provider, and De Havilland personnel.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development and certification of repair and other design change projects in accordance with the requirements set forth by De Havilland Engineering and customer support service standards.
- Develop substantiation for design changes and work with the Engineering Manager to prioritize work activities.
- Manage ongoing modification projects in accordance with department priorities.
- Coordinate with the Design Approval Organization (DAO) and manufacturing/maintenance teams to ensure conformity of new designs.
- Apply project management principles to oversee and execute projects, track progress, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in Aerospace, including 3-5 years of MRB experience in the structures discipline.
- Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment & structural design.
- Direct knowledge/experience with CL-215/415 Water Bomber Aircraft is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in repair design.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and certification requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer-based documentation and relevant software.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a dynamic work environment.
