Sales Engineer

We are seeking an entry-level Sales Engineer with a strong mechanical aptitude and an Engineering degree preferred. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn pump systems, develop technical expertise, and build a career in both engineering and customer-facing technical sales.

You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and customers to support pump system design, selection, and application while also participating in sales and business development activities. This position offers hands-on training, exposure to industry events, and a clear path for career growth into a technical specialist or senior sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing and sizing pump systems based on project requirements, codes, and industry standards

Support pump selection, system design, submittals, and technical documentation

Review plans and specifications to help develop compliant and cost-effective pump solutions

Prepare technical submittals, equipment schedules, and system layouts

Provide engineering and technical support to customers, consulting engineers, contractors, and manufacturers

Maintain and develop engineering standards, best practices, and documentation
Build and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, developers, and building owners

Conduct outside sales activities including site visits, lunch & learns, presentations, and project meetings

Identify project opportunities and support specification development and product selection

Provide pre-sale engineering support to help secure projects

Use CRM tools to track customer activity, opportunities, and project pipelines
Collaborate with sales leadership to support territory strategy and growth initiatives

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $27 to $30 per hour.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred (or soon to graduate / entry-level candidates welcome)
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in fluid systems, HVAC, or pump applications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong communication and presentation skills
Comfortable working in both technical and customer-facing environments
Proficiency or willingness to learn CRM systems and basic sales tools
Valid drivers license (for site visits and customer meetings)
