Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 3 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of work experience in consumer product design.
- Experience with manufacturing methods used in consumer electronics products.
- Experience shipping multiple consumer products.
- Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design a subsystem or multiple individual parts from concept to production.
- Collaborate with suppliers for subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
- Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions.
- Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, cost, and aesthetics.
