In this role, the Non-Destructive Evaluation Engineer will provide analysis of various components and assemblies to support product benchmarking, failure analysis and problem solving. Successful candidates will have experience with non-destructive evaluation techniques and a desire to collect and analyze data for a wide range of components. Your work will directly support product benchmarking, provide deep insights into failure analysis, and drive effective problem-solving initiatives. You will be instrumental in collecting, interpreting, and presenting data that empowers our teams to make informed decisions and deliver superior solutions to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate optical and x-ray scanning equipment.
- Follow all NDE Ford procedures for running lab equipment.
- Ensure equipment used functions properly and is current with all calibration requirements.
- Follow all NDE radiation safety requirements and attend radiation safety training.
- Perform job staging and removal.
- Perform part disposition, storage and movement tasks as needed for safety, convenience, and housekeeping requirements.
- Operate hi-lo, overhead cranes and complete appropriate safety training.
- Perform CT reconstruction per NDE procedures.
- Build fixtures and maintain equipment as needed.
- Perform image analysis per NDE procedures as needed.
- Perform layout analysis per NDE procedures as needed.
- Communicate issues that arise for resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, manufacturing, quality) to support problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance NDE processes, introduce new techniques, and improve efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
- 1+ years experience in 3D Modeling or CAD
- Strong communication (verbally and in writing) and interpersonal skills to present and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical education in and experience with X-ray, Computed Tomography, Optical Scanning and operation of associated equipment.
- Experience in machining.
- Basic knowledge of Power-Train components.
- Experience programming with modern programming language
- Experience writing macros.
- Experience with VG Studio Max and/or Polyworks software.
- Experience with Office Applications (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
Experience in team-based environment.

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 and ranges from $65,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
