Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a ProcessEngineer to join our Advanced Materials and Technology team. The position willbe located in Nashua, NH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to lead the development andoptimization of a coating process for components used in high speedinterconnects. The engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, andimplementing scalable, robust processes that ensure product quality,consistency, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong knowledge ofpolymer substrates, coating technologies, and process control in a manufacturingenvironment.

Support material characterization, reliability testing, and performancebenchmarking for process scale up.Collaborate with Development, NPI, Signal and Mechanical Integrity teams toidentify material challenges and translate findings into manufacturablesolutions.Development of tool and fixtures using 3D CAD (Solidworks and/orPro-Engineer)Define process equipment, fixtures and tools for new coating processes orprocess improvementsProvide product and investment cost assessments for new or modified productsfor the justification and acquisition of major tooling and equipment.Write and develop machine / tooling specifications for processes andequipment to be purchased from outside sources.Drive process risk reduction effort using design for manufacturability(DFM), list potential critical/risk product-process areas (FMEA) andverification testingDefine and drive process qualification (FAI, Cmk, Cpk) plansCoordinate with internal & external vendors the fabrication of prototypesamples, tooling and equipment to meet schedulesInvolved in the analysis of defined risk areas and experimentation, detaileddesign and analysis, DOE, basic technology research and development.Develop and document assembly processes, which include process sheets,operating procedures, spare parts lists, and preventative maintenance plan.Provide training, guidance and support to production and specializedpersonnel as necessaryParticipate in team meetings to inform progress on project and customerdriven deliverables (such as samples or qualification reports).Interface with vendor on new automated equipment development.Work closely with operations in defining operations plans capacity plan,time study, takt time, line balance, flow diagram, line lay-out, workinstructions, workmanship standards, control and inspection plans and othermanufacturing documentation.Work with manufacturing team to develop capacity and cost reduction plansfor high volume efficiency, product cost reductions and capacity planningSome travel both domestically and internationally may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferably; Materials, Mechanicalor Industrial.Experience with process development, DOE, SPC, and scale-up from lab toproduction.Experience in coating processes, inkjet/spray deposition, or relatedmanufacturing technologies.Strong understanding of conductive inks, polymers, and adhesion mechanisms.Ability to work with cross-functionally, document and communicate technicalfindings to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with 3D CAD Design software (preferably Solidworks and/orPro-Engineer)Ability to perform engineering experiments, collect data and analyze rootcause/corrective action and tack time studiesExperience on Automation
