You will be the Circuit Card Design Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed MartinMissiles and FireControl (MFC).Our team designs, develops and fields precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, delivering high reliability circuit card assemblies (CCAs) that power missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Circuit Card Design Engineer you will own the end to end creation of CCAsfrom architecture and schematic capture through EPCAD layout, prototype build up and test.You will partner with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing groups to ensure every design meets performance, environmental and security requirements while keeping the program on schedule. Your responsibilities will include

Lead architecture, schematic capture and EPCAD layout for CCAs supporting missile and sensor subsystems.
Define, refine and document system, performance, interface and environmental requirements.
Conduct trade study analyses of alternate design approaches and recommend optimal implementations.
Perform circuit simulation and analysis using CadencePSpice (or equivalent) to validate functionality and margins.
Capture schematics in SiemensXpedition Enterprise and collaborate with EPCAD to produce robust layout and signal routing solutions.
Deliver complete design assurance packagesincluding data, evidence and compliance reportsfor senior review.
Work closely with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and testing.
Manage bill of materials, part sourcing and prototype build up activities, driving cost effective parts selection.
Verify that designs meet shock, vibration, radiation and other environmental qualification standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Masters degree preferred

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in circuit design engineering or a related discipline

Demonstrated experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for one or more of the following: digital electronics, power electronics, analog/mixed-signal, or FPGA-based processor boards

Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture

Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis

Experience with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx or equivalent

Experience with developing and refining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for circuit card designs

Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process

Experience with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704

Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA families (UltraScale, Versal)

High-speed design experience including PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES, or DDR4/5 memory interfaces

MATLAB experience for analysis and simulation

Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture)

Experience with CAMEO or equivalent requirements management tools

Experience with rigidflex circuit card design

Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation)

Demonstrated effective communication skills

Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
