Reviews and designs solutions, creates drawings, submits bills of material and collects vendor pricing in providing support for customer proposals. Assists in project development and implementation by working with internal and external customers to ensure project is done accurately, timely, and on budget. Assists and interprets data collection from Engineering Studies and general application analysis. Essential Functions: Develops warehousing storage and automation solutions and creates appropriate drawings. Creates solution bills of material and determines project costs. Performs effective project management during implementation. Supports proposal generation and sales processes led by customer facing sales staff, as required. Accompanies sales staff on sales calls to provide technical expertise. Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of practical engineering design experience with emphasis on math and computer aided drafting, with at least one year of this experience in the material handling field. Proficiency with AutoCAD for engineering design and drafting. Experience with conventional warehouse storage solutions. Experience with automated warehouse solutions, including system design and implementation. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines. Strong communication skills for collaborating with vendors, contractors, and permitting authorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence and presentations. Demonstrated sound judgment, reasoning, and advanced analytical problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and Access. Strong attention to detail in engineering and project execution. Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable customer solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology and a minimum of three years of material handling.
