Robotics Engineer CTDI is experiencing significant growth and we are actively hiring for several Robotics Engineers to join our corporate Engineering team. We are looking for recent graduates as well as mid to upper-level experience. Our engineers will work as part of a dynamic team of Mechanical, Software, and Electrical Engineers, in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing set of businesses and facilities to support. Knowledge of Mobile Devices, Consumer electronics, Cable TV (CATV) / DSL and fiber testing is highly preferred for this role. Key Responsibilities: Design new and innovative Robotic automation equipment and integrated systems for mobile consumer device testing Collect requirements, generate concepts, communicate concepts and designs, create parts, and assemble models in CAD, generate drawings and BOM Work with external suppliers and vendors to size, select and purchase electric/pneumatic actuators, stepper/servo motors, gearboxes, sensors, conveyors, and safety equipment Source parts, assemble, test, debug and refine test systems in lab environment Ability to work in fast-paced environment with aggressive product development schedules Ability to work with minimal and/or no supervision Maintain designs of existing systems Motivate self and others around Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of industrial automation or machine design or custom robot design experience Proven track record of machine design, CAD modeling design and drafting using SolidWorks Good understanding of different fabrication processes - CNC machining, Sheet metal, frame construction Good understanding of electrical connections/connectors/cables and cable management methods Good fundamentals of jigs and fixture design, GD&T, drafting standards, DFMA and DFS Experience designing high-speed continuous motion equipment with pneumatic/electric linear and rotary actuators, conveyors, and different sensors You will love working in our family-oriented company!
