Pay Rate: $44.79 per hour SUMMARY: We are seeking a Test Engineer II for the Engineering Department of a Government facility in the Williamsburg area. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering or Marine Engineering. Preferred to have 3 to 5 years' experience working in an engineering field. Working knowledge and demonstrated skill set working with 3D modeling preferred, especially with Solid Edge and or Solid Works. Experience with MS Projects, MS Excel, 3-D modeling, Auto Cad, Word, Adobe preferred. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals including: Design of Basic Structures Strength of Materials Statics Vector Mechanics Fluid Dynamics Electrical Systems Computer Science Basic Physics Basic Testing Procedures Must be able to communicate and convey technical details and information to other engineers and non-technical personnel. Special consideration will be given to individuals who have training or experience with any of the following items: -- Shipboard systems, --Oil Spill Response equipment, --Hazardous materials, --Ship Salvage & Diving, --Rigging, --or Underwater Remote-Controlled Vehicles Should have experience and knowledge of utilizing and implementing Standard Test Procedures with regards to testing equipment and or integrated systems.
