Project Phase: Custodian of process models/simulations and responsible for the development of processes and tools to enable production and emissions optimization at Louisiana LNG. Provide technical Process Engineering support to Operator's engineering assurance and operational readiness activities. Deliver and imbed processes and tools to enable Production Optimization during the Operations Phase.
Operations Phase: The Louisiana LNG Senior Production/Optimization Engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary integrated team to optimize production and emissions (within short / medium / long term time horizons) to protect and maximize the value of the asset. Provide technical Process Engineering support to Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
Ensure compliance with Company & Project and industry HSSE policies, standards, and regulations throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
Ensure all Optimization activities comply with relevant codes, regulatory requirements, safety standards and the plant design (integrity envelopes)
Support H&S assurance activities in both the Project and Operate phase
Work Process and Systems
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits and commercial obligations
Comply / work within Woodside management systems and processes, applying sound risk management and management of change
Provide Optmization planning inputs into asset integrated plans in line with Woodside's Integrated Activity Planning Procedures
Technical Excellence
Responsible for Production Optimization and Production Opportunity Management including management of Optimization Reference Plan and Opportunity (Produce the Limit) Workshops
Influence project and operational decision making - provide production enhancement recommendations support by both technical and commercial work products
Provide deep technical expertise's across stakeholder groups in the area of LNG Design and Operations - including critical interfaces with cross discipline groups
Key Accountabilities
Identify constraints and highlight opportunities to improve production, maximize production and comply with permits
Build and maintain tools to support delivery of the Louisiana LNG Operating strategy
Deliver and maintain Louisiana LNG Optimization tools, strategies and processes
Support delivery of key opportunity reference plan (ORP) items
Develop and maintain Louisiana LNG deferment and production reporting tools
Develop / input into response planning for key / major events (e.g. tank tops, production outage etc.)
Understand and communicate production forecast uncertainties providing input to planning and opportunity management
Consider / incorporates gas supply outcomes: volumes, compositions and pricing
Provide performance insights and analyses against production and emissions Plans
Develop, govern and manage the opportunity reference plan (ORP) process for Louisiana LNG to support improvements in production, reduction in emissions and maximizing value
Support delivery of key Engineering Assurance and Operations

Coach and mentor engineers and share discipline good practices across assets

Skills and Experience Experience
Proficiency in LNG processes and associated process models (heat and material balance)
Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools, such as UniSim and Hysis
Knowledge of production systems and flow assurance operations
Experience with process safety management and risk assessment practices (HAZOP / LOPA / HAZID)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and collaboration tools like SharePoint
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities
Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English
Adaptability to tight deadlines, priority changes, and response times
Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience
Direct involvement supporting an operating LNG asset with experience in real-time process optimization
Troubleshooting LNG and/or refinery processes
Working in multi-disciplinary teams
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; 5+ years preferred in LNG production, refining, or similar plant environment

Travel: Travel for site visits, EPC engagements and vendor Factory Acceptance Tests
