Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal regulations through the effective creation of programs driving Eos EHS culture. This position will be a focal point to drive programs throughout Eos with the expectation of employee engagement and proactive solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.

  • Work with all aspects of plant operations to ensure local, state and federal EHS regulatory requirements and company standards are met.

  • Organize, identify and help management complete permits pertaining to environmental health and safety, such as air emission(s) permits, fire safety permits, and operating permits

  • Keep current on any changes regarding EHS laws and regulations that will impact the organization

  • Be responsible and accountable for the preparation, submission and documentation of all EHS and company reporting requirements as required and meeting deadlines

  • Understand and apply ergonomic and safety principles and fire-safety principles to improve facilities, equipment and workstation efficiency and minimize injuries

  • Manage indoor work environment including noise quality, air quality and workplace exposure monitoring programs

  • Manage hazard control programs (engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protective equipment), safe work procedures, hazard communication and SDS programs.

  • Evaluates the companys procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions.

  • Perform studies and analyze data collected and provide reporting in required formats including incident investigations, trend analysis, workplace inspections, consultations, program efficiencies and training

  • Assist cross functional team in incident investigation(s), root cause analysis, as well as in developing and implementing containment and corrective actions identified.

  • Assist the development of an Eos Sustainability Program including recycling programs, energy/water/ waste reduction

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction, new equipment and manufacturing line set ups

  • Assist in the development and delivery of applicable training topics as related to environmental, health, and safety.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction, new equipment and manufacturing line set ups

  • Interact with associates at all levels to improve safety and reduce accidents and injuries

  • Ability to anticipate, plan, coordinate and execute projects to their successful conclusion

  • Ability to work with all stakeholders (including contractors and suppliers) necessary to ensure company EHS requirements are met.

  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate effectiveness of an ISO (14001 & 45001) Management System.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, health, safety, or related field of study required.

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience.

  • Experience leading multiple sites in complex environments.

Travel
  • Local Travel

  • Overnight/North America: Less than 10%

Working Conditions
  • Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. R equired to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to e xert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes , airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases . The noise level in the work environment can be loud. R equired to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to e xert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
