Molycop Technology specializes in advanced process control, instrumentation, engineering, software, and consulting services. We build strong relationships with our clients in the mining industry. Our aim is to deliver turn-key solutions to clients that include measurement of key process variables as well as advanced process control. Our products include our minerals online analyzers, instrumentation, advanced process control solutions, data automation solutions combined with process consulting services. The Role: Based in North America (remotely, or near one of our regional offices). Design, commission and support of Advanced Process Control systems in comminution, flotation, leaching and smelting processes. Analyse data and write technical reports/papers. Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients. Assist sales teams to identify new clients, generate leads, assist with proposals and establish relationships with prospective clients. Involvement in new technology developments. Involvement in turnkey projects which consist of instrumentation, control and consulting solutions. Hybrid role (remote and in office time). Site visit travel will be required from time to time, but most of the work can be done remotely. Candidate Requirements: 8+ years of experience in the mining and minerals processing industry. 6+ years experience with advanced/expert process control in the minerals processing industry. A degree in engineering is preferred with course work in control systems, e.g. Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering (with control system units), Process Engineering (with control system units). Good knowledge of comminution, flotation, leaching and/or smelting processes. Managed process control projects across various minerals processes such as comminution, flotation, leaching and smelting. Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, delegation and team development. Ability to understand and deliver on the client's needs. Technically proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, etc). Ability to review information from various sources to uncover new opportunities and new clients. Spoken languages: English. Will be an advantage: Experience in various supervisory control platforms. Spanish, Portuguese and/or French speaking considered an advantage. An excellent understanding of the minerals processing industry and ability to understand technical concepts. A well-connected individual who has demonstrated the ability to network with relevant people and demonstrated sales acumen. Experience with PLC's, DCS's or industrial communication methods/systems would be beneficial.
