The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plymouth, MN locion in the EP division.

In Abbotts Electrophysiology (EP) business, were advancing the trement of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in rial fibrillion, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Wh Youll Work On

  • Process Development & Implemention:
    • Lead the design, development, and implemention of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
    • Specify, acquire, and valide new equipment to support production and process improvements.
  • Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis:
    • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes of process issues.
    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Da-Driven Improvements:
    • Design and execute experiments (DOE), analyze da, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Documention & Compliance:
    • Cree and maintain technical documention including SOPs, risk assessments, validion protocols, and safety instructions.
    • Ensure all processes comply with internal quality systems and external regulory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborion:
    • Work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support product development and scale-up.
    • Provide technical training and mentorship to technicians and junior engineers.
  • Innovion & Technical Leadership:
    • Evalue and recommend new merials, tools, and technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities.
    • Support tooling development and process validion for new and existing products.

Required Qualificions

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical or reled Engineering degree.

  • 0-2 years of reled work experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in technical writing and documention.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communicion and presention skills.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, automion, and process control.

Preferred Qualificions

  • Experience in the medical device industry, particularly with cheter manufacturing or similar reguled environments.
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulions.
  • Hands-on experience with process validion, DOE, and stistical analysis.
