Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and validate tooling and mechanical systems.
  • Work hands-on with shop floor operations, including machining and testing.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation and schematics.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards in a forging environment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Project Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with tooling, mechanical design, and robotics.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM and shop floor operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A background in general manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Ability to absorb knowledge and grow within the company.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to lead projects and teams.
  • Willingness to learn about forging processes.

Work Environment

Join a small, close-knit team of about 20 people where you will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and gain comprehensive knowledge of the business. Our company supplies primarily to the mining industry, forging specialized components like large drill bits for heavy machinery. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
