Job Category Engineering & Science Position Summary The Specifications Engineer supports tire development by transforming engineering requirements and engineering BOM into detailed manufacturing specifications for tire plants. Acting as a key interface between engineering and manufacturing, this role ensures that design intent is accurately captured, documented, released and maintained within specification systems.

This position focuses on the use of tools and methods for specification writing, data integrity, and system execution, with primary emphasis on consumer tire products and occasional support of commercial products. The role requires strong attention to detail, structured data management, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and digital teams.

Responsibilities Translate engineering requests and design inputs into complete, accurate tire specifications for manufacturing execution Develop, review, and release specifications within enterprise systems ensuring alignment with design intent and plant requirements Validate specification completeness, consistency, and manufacturability prior to release Serve as a liaison between engineering and tire plants to clarify requirements and resolve specification-related questions or issues Support timely specification delivery to meet development timelines and production schedules Maintain and ensure integrity of specification data across systems and databases Use data analysis tools to identify inconsistencies, improve workflows, and support decision-making Contribute to automation and process improvements in specification creation, validation, and release Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with data analysis and structured data environments Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Access, Alteryx, Tableau or similar platforms Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex technical data
