This role will be based out of Westborough with extensive travel to support hardware functionality testing, test plan execution, and quality validation of robotic and automation systems at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Test Plan Development & Execution
Create and execute test plans for straightforward scenarios involving electromechanical components and systems
Develop test cases for hardware functional requirements, including down to components level
Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures following established protocols
Assess and report on quality of components and features tested
Analyze change requests and provide recommendations on test scope and product behavior impact
Work with some guidance from senior Test Engineers, Engineering Leads, and Engineering Manager
Hardware Testing & Validation
Conduct hands-on hardware functionality testing of robotic and automation systems, sensors, actuators, and control systems
Perform troubleshooting and isolate bugs to help engineers with root cause analysis
Validate system performance against KPI-driven requirements
Document test results, defects, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) with technical precision
Collect and analyze test data using Excel and other tracking tools
Execute pre-defined test procedures with attention to detail
Test Solution Development
Develop simple test tools and scripts to reduce manual testing effort
Create and maintain automation scripts with senior peer review
Make configuration changes and modify/extend test cases as needed
Document work clearly for future testers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Test Engineers, Hardware Development Engineers, and site operations teams
Communicate test results and quality metrics to engineering leadership
Participate in defect triage, test planning, scoping, and prioritization discussions
