Mechanical DesignerPosition Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to develop detailed mechanical and MEP design solutions for commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will create accurate construction documents and 3D models, coordinate with architects, engineers and subcontractors, and support project delivery from schematic design through construction. This role emphasizes BIM coordination, HVAC and process piping design, and practical construction knowledge to ensure buildable, code-compliant mechanical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed mechanical design drawings and fabrication details for HVAC, process piping, and related systems using Revit and CAD tools.Create and manage 3D BIM models and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams using Navisworks to perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts.Prepare equipment schedules, material takeoffs, and bill of materials; support cost estimating and procurement as required.Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and fabricators to translate design intent into constructible solutions and ensure compliance with codes and project specifications.Produce installation drawings, connection details, and field sketches; support site visits and provide technical clarification during construction.Review and update as-built documentation and closeout packages; maintain drawing revision control and project documentation.Support value engineering and constructability reviews; identify opportunities to simplify systems, reduce costs, and improve schedule.Participate in project meetings, coordinate deliverables, and communicate design decisions clearly to stakeholders.QualificationsAssociate degree or bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.3+ years of mechanical or MEP design experience in construction, industrial, or commercial projects; experience with HVAC systems and process piping required.Proficiency in Revit for mechanical modeling and documentation; strong experience with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.Skilled with AutoCAD and/or other 2D drafting tools; experience producing fabrication-level details and isometric piping drawings.Working knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and best practices (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, local codes).Familiarity with construction processes, site coordination, and working with contractors/fabricators.Strong technical communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to perform field visits, interpret site conditions, and provide timely technical support during construction.BenefitsHealth/Dental/VisionHealth ReimbursementLife Insurance and AD&DShort- & Long-term Disability401(k)Holidays OffVacation & Sick Leave
