You will be the Materials & Processes Engineer Stf - Composites - Level 4 for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) which is responsible for advancing composite manufacturing capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Materials & Processes Engineer Stf - Composites - Level 4 you will be responsible for applying composite material engineering principles to enable manufacturing and research & development of composite parts, including fiberreinforced organic matrix materials and processes such as hand layup, Automated Fiber Placement (AFP), and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interface with internal teams and suppliers on technical issues related to composite raw materials, new processes, and manufacturing plans.
- Develop and execute composite research and qualification plans, including process development and material characterization.
- Author and maintain composite material and process specifications and advise on material/process selection.
- Participate in structural layouts, design reviews, and nonconformance disposition and correctiveaction processes.
- Provide direct M&P support to assembly and fabrication operations and deliver technical presentations.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secretclearance to start.
Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Composites, Polymers, or Chemistry, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or no experience required with a related PhD or JD.- Experience in Aerospace Composite materials- Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
- Experience transitioning composite process research to production environments
