Job Description Mechancial development (MDev) engineer works closely with MTD, electrical development (EDev) engineering, and supply chain engineering to create manufacturable design that meets all performance requirements. MTD provides electromagnetics specscoil sizes, locations, number of wire turns, magnet sizes, magnet materials. EDEV provides insulation requirements, cabling and connector design support. MDEV packages coils and magnets to meet MTD, EDEV specs along with other specs such as thermal, dynamics, volume, stress, cleanliness, etc. Mechanical Development Electrical Actuator Design Engineer Job Requirements Education Minimum: BSME with machine design focus Experience Minimum 2+ years of experience in the following: Basic machine design TPD production (drawings and BoMs) FEA, thermal, stress, tolerance, fluid flow, vibration analyses Familiar with basic machining methods and fasteners Good to have Clean room compatible design, vacuum design, design for manufacturing, flexure design, coil mechanical design, magnet mechanical design, back iron mechanical design, electrical lamination design Familiarity laser welding, brazing, etching, diffusion bonding, adhesives, additive manufacturing Understand basic electromagnetic (motor) and controls terminology. Understand basic electrical terminology. Nice to have Familiar with IEC specs. Familiar with cable design, printed circuit boards, flex cables, thermal sensors. Personal skillsGood written and verbal communication skills Work well with international cross sector ASML team and suppliers.
