Manufacturing Engineer II (Silent-Aire)

What you will do

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and
methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include oversite and
management of large capital projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve
productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality. Develop and implement
manufacturing engineering department standards and policies; provide training, coaching and
support across the department/organization.

How you will do it

Process engineering change requests.
Troubleshoot production problems.
Assist in trouble-shooting assembly and fabrication equipment.
Optimize work-station layout.
Justify, specify, and manage Capital projects & equipment.
Introduce new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with
Design Engineering on production issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
Create and maintain Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
Support and/or lead Lean projects.
Sets operational objectives and delivering results that have a direct impact on achievement of results
with the job area or within the context of a wider operational goals.
Work to define and explain practices, standards, policies, etc. to others internally
Adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods; make better as part of day-to-day activities

What we look for

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline
6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering experience
Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation
design)
Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles
with organizational practices.
