The Product Engineer A Role

Provides advanced technical knowledge and analytical support through primary responsibility for establishing the product design, specifications, as well as conducting investigations and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and negotiates customer technical requirements
  • Generate bearing designs to meet customer technical requirements and specifications
  • Create and evaluate bearing designs using CAD/CAE tools and software
  • Develops and maintains technical relationships with customers
  • Presents NSK technology and project recommendations to customers
  • Works with customers to identify new project opportunities
  • Coordinates customer test support and test return analysis
  • Prepares and presents all customer technical communication and documentation
  • Prepares design documents (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Drawings)
  • Obtains technical approval for process changes for activities such as VA/VE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience required; 6–8 years preferred.
  • Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is preferred.
