Industrial Engineer / Continuous improvement specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Support production by improving processes and workstations for existing product lines using innovative approaches
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors, team leads, and production operators to understand process steps and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct analyses to measure efficiency at different stages of production and prioritize improvements (workflow and methods)
  • Optimize production lead times and ensure optimal capacity utilization
  • Implement solutions to eliminate non-value-added activities, reduce safety risks, and minimize quality issues
  • Lead and execute Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Manage major plant projects involving cross-functional teams, including the acquisition and implementation of new equipment and processes
  • Develop and update work instructions to enhance training effectiveness for new operators
  • Analyze feasibility and return on investment for improvement initiatives (business cases)
  • Participate in root cause analysis of incidents and support implementation of corrective actions with Health & Safety and Quality teams
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly organized individual who can solve complex problems and thrives in a team environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable setting goals and driving results. Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (required)
  • Experience deploying continuous improvement tools (Lean, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and support functions
  • Strong prioritization and action plan management skills aligned with business objectives
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (essential)
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) – an asset
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure
