Liaison Engineer Stf - Level 4

Location: Greenville SC

What You Will Be Doing
As a Liaison Engineer supporting the sustainment engineering team in Greenville, SC, you will play a critical role in supporting F-16 and C-130 MMRO (Maintenance, Modification, Repair, and Overhaul) activities. You will serve as a key link between engineering, production, and customer teams, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues to support aircraft delivery schedules.

In this role, you will provide hands-on engineering support for aircraft modifications, working closely with Aircraft Technicians on the production floor to address real-time challenges. You will review and validate planning work instructions, evaluate aircraft damage discrepancies, and research repair solutions using USAF and NAVAIR Technical Orders (TOs).

You will collaborate with customers and OEM design engineering teams to coordinate repair authorizations and develop compliant repair instructions for planning and execution. Success in this role requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and schedule commitments.

Key Responsibilities
Providing engineering support for aircraft modifications on F-16 and C-130 aircraft.

Support Aircraft Technicians on production floor for MMRO activities.

Reviewing planning work instructions.

Consulting with the customer and OEM design engineering teams.

Reviewing aircraft damage discrepancies, Researching available repairs in USAF/NAVAIR Technical Orders (TO), coordinating repair authorization with OEM/Customer and provide repair instructions to planning.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks to meet aircraft delivery schedules.

Who You Are
You are a technically strong and detail-oriented engineer with experience supporting aircraft sustainment, maintenance, or modification activities in a fast-paced production environment. You are comfortable working closely with production teams and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving real-time engineering challenges on the shop floor. You have experience interpreting engineering data, technical drawings, and Technical Orders (TOs), and are confident researching and developing repair solutions while collaborating with technicians, program leadership, customers, and OEM engineering teams. You thrive in dynamic environments with shifting priorities, are able to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and schedule commitments to ensure successful aircraft delivery. F-16/C-130 Depot, Manufacturing or MOD Engineering experience.

Experience with USAF -107T/202 system including DESTRAP, AIRCAT or AUTOTAR.

Experience using CAD software, CATIA preferred

Experience with aircraft drawings, F-16 or C-130 experience.

Experience designing structural repairs and dispositioning discrepancies for repair or MRB experience on F-16 or C-130.

Experience using ERP/MES system such as Solumina, SAP, Apriso or CAPP/SFM

Experience working in a team environment with Excellent communication skills Experience with aircraft avionics

Experience with aircraft manufacturing methods and techniques

Knowledge of aircraft materials and processes

CATIA V5 and CADAM experience

Aircraft Design and/or Stress Analysis experience

Researching the structural configuration for F-16 aircraft using Lockheed Martins engineering databases (Multi-Program Release System MPRS, MPRSII, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), etc) to determine current configuration, effectivity, and next higher assembly for applicable drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
