We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to lead the optimization of manufacturing processes within a server production environment. This role is responsible for improving efficiency, productivity, and safety while reducing operational costs. The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers, manage complex projects, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Engineering Support
Analyze current manufacturing workflows and identify bottlenecks across server production lines
Design and implement optimized layouts, material flow strategies, and takt time balancing
Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation
Manufacturing Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead Kaizen events and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Monitor and improve KPIs such as throughput, yield, cycle time, and labor efficiency
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements
Project Management
Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with production goals and timelines
Coordinate with production, quality, logistics, and IT teams to support new product introductions and process changes
Track project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation
Data Analysis & Reporting
Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate process performance and identify trends
Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on improvement initiatives and operational metrics
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all engineering solutions comply with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety standards
Support ergonomic assessments and risk mitigation strategies
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or server manufacturing
Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization tools
Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SFDC)
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Minitab
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with server components and rack-level integration
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
Experience with automation and digital manufacturing technologies
