Position Description:
The Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Body Interior Engineer will provide onsite product development support for the F150 Lightning program.
This role is responsible for driving improved quality and first-time-through performance through root cause analysis, corrective actions (ICA), and preventive actions (PCA).
The engineer will serve as the first line of defense for interior system quality issues, collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Own and resolve engineering issues related to Body Interior systems (trim, IP, seats, console, headliner, NVH components, carpet, etc.).
Provide on-site launch and plant support to troubleshoot production issues and drive First Time Through (FTT) improvements.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions (ICA/PCA). Perform data analysis using Excel and other tools to identify trends and develop solutions.
Support validation testing (DVPR), issue tracking, and release activities.
Collaborate with suppliers, design engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust designs and high-quality builds.
Support quality systems including DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.

BSME or equivalent experience
