Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for subsystem design and modeling for a manual and autonomous battery-electric commercial mower. The role requires experience in PTC Creo modeling, mechanical design, and physical assembly/repair of equipment. The candidate will support engineering teams with calculations, virtual analysis, and decision-making, ensuring seamless integration of designs into production and field use. Job Responsibilities: Subsystem design (parts modeling in Creo, drawings for prototype shop or suppliers). Support designs with calculations, virtual analysis, decision analysis, and feedback from others. Integrate knowledge of product usage into design to improve customer experience. Work closely with the product design team and other functional areas, including Marketing, Program Management, Test Engineers, and Systems Engineers. Provide hands-on support for machine builds and upgrades in the shop. Coordinate with shop teams via work orders for assistance in certain tasks. May provide in-field support when machines are delivered to Marketing for customer feedback. Skills: PTC Creo modeling 2+ years in mechanical design Physical assembly and/or repair of equipment Casting design Plastics design Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience in mechanical design and equipment assembly.
