About the Role:
Provide hydraulics engineering, mechanical engineering, and project management discipline to support plant operations and manufacturing.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (R)
Experience: 3-5 Years industrial environment (R); 3-5 years equipment hydraulics (R); 5+ Years (P)
Areas of Knowledge: Industrial Hydraulics (R), Machine elements (R), Power Transmission (R), Pumps / Piping (R), CAD Drafting (R)
Skills: Project Management (P), Equipment Trouble Shooting (R), Technical Writing (R), Computer Operation (R), Communication (R), Print Reading (R)
Global Accountabilities for the Role:
- Plan and monitor the safe implementation of all assigned projects, utilizing internal and external resources, ensure compliance with OSHA Regulations and Plant Safety Policies
- Incorporate product quality improvements into project specifications, design, or redesign
- Incorporate Local, State and Federal environmental regulations into project design, redesign, or facility maintenance
- Support Manufacturing in implementing modifications to improve productivity
- Coordinate all projects with Purchasing to negotiate maximum value at minimum cost
- Provide technical support for Maintenance Department, assist when required
Specific Accountabilities for the Role:
- Project management, including supervision, tracking, accounting, and auditing
- Prepare Authorization for Expenditure for Capital projects
- Develop work scope, engineering specifications, and scheduling for multiple projects
- Design or redesign machine elements, pneumatic and / or hydraulic controls, equipment foundations and power transmission
- Requires a strong background and understanding of hydraulics to engineer various repairs or modifications to equipment
- Maintain drawings manually and on CAD system
