The Simulator Engineer applies model-based methods, systems engineer and architects promote mission success, functional integration and resource optimization in support if decision-making for an enterprise environment. This position is onsite in the Oklahoma City area.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Proficiency in C/C+

Familiar with or the ability to learn Fortran, Java, or propriety development languages

Familiar with Aircraft interfaces such as ARINC 429, 453, 702 and/or 708, RS 232 and/or 422.

Proficiency with Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems

Understanding ofputer networking and protocols

Experience developing device drivers and interfacing with external APIs

Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices

Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debugplex software systems

Excellentmunication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality software products in a dynamic environment

Familiarity with Aviation terminology and/or Flight Simulation experience a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software ensuringpliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with cross functional engineers and principal investigators to meet project requirements

Develop acceptance test procedures to validate the functionality and performance of software

Rmend, incorporate, and/or alter new and existing simulator designs and documentation

Participate in engineering design reviews

Perform hardware/software integration and testing on flight simulator training devices ensuring seamless operation and interaction with other simulatorponents

Provide engineering staff with rmendations for software/hardware enhancements by staying updated with the latest advancements in technology for simulator systems

Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or Math degree's are required. Bachelor's degree Aerospace Engineering is preferred, with a strong background in software development and a minimum of five (5) years of software engineering or relative experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools,puter, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise withputers ers and light traffic.
